served as a public school elementary and middle school teacher for 8 years, elementary vice principal and principal for 2 years and 20 years as a school superintendent. During his tenure as a school superintendent, he also taught leadership classes for Azusa Pacific University, Cal Lutheran University and Point Loma Nazarene University. He was an administrator for Point Loma Nazarene University as Director of the Regional Center in Pasadena, Arcadia and Corona for 13 years. After retiring in 2007, he continued to serve as an adjunct faculty member at PLNU, teaching in the leadership program and coaching practicing administrators. He holds a B.A., M.A. and E.D.S. degrees from Point Loma Nazarene and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University. He is the recipient of the Lifetime Distinguished Achievement Award in 2008 from Point Loma University’s Alumni Association. David served for one year on the Board of Trustees for the Upland Christian Academy. Current term to May 21, 2019.

is an educational consultant having served as a teacher, Executive Director of the Center for Advanced Learning, and principal of a private school. She was a fifth grade teacher at Shirley for eighteen years and served as a grade level chairperson, grade level representative for science in her local district, and BTSA support provider for her school. She specializes in literacy, English Language Development, Multicultural Education and the Social Sciences. Ms. Faqir also serves as President of UCLA’s Chapter of Phi Delta Kappa and President of Al-Taliah (Vanguards for Literacy). Current term to June 30, 2018.

In this role, she promotes the implementation of innovative and strategic systems as well as elevating teacher voice. Dr. Abshere's previous work focused on training educators on classroom management and positive school culture strategies through character education. She holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from USC and a Master's in Learning Technologies from Pepperdine. Current term to August 13, 2019.
